Should I do this with GPO or a task sequence instead? It's far from ideal but at the end of day I just had to get stuff done without the constant fighting of things breaking from edition to edition. This script takes care of anything I want it to do and have stopped relying on sysprep to do a lot of it for me. My sysprep unattend.xml file is setup to download a powershell script from my GitLab repository and execute it. I've stopped using it entirely and have instead created a powershell script to do my own provisioning. Since the 1703/1709 days it has not worked well. I'm not sure there is a preferred method to using CopyProfile. The very last comment mentions a difference in behaviour vs sysprep /reboot and /shutdown. ![]() Not sure if this will fix all your issues or not but it's worth a read? The workaround is regarding exporting the start menu and after sysprep have it call a powershell script to import it again.
